Funding:

Because Patricia is on the Illinois Arts Council rosters for the Artstour program and Arts-in-Education, funds can be sought for performances, workshops, and residencies within Illinois.

Artstour provides 30-50% of the fee and must be applied for at least 8 weeks prior to the engagement. Visit the Artstour web page for more information.

QuickStart provides 50% for first time users of the Illinois Arts Council education programs

Visit the Illinois Arts Council's home page, or go directly to their page of downloadable forms and scroll down the the "Project Quick Start for Schools and School Districts " section, where you can download the Project Quick Start Guidelines & Application" and find some additional information about the forms. You may also directly download the Illinois Arts Council Project Quick Start Guidelines & Application here. (This is a PDF file - you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view it.)

Consider writing a grant proposal to your state Reading Council. The Illinois Reading Council grants project money to schools for reading-incentive programs. Ask Patricia about co-writing such a grant. The IRC deadline for proposals is early June of each year.
